I'm a stay at home dad with two kids; a boy 3 and a girl 5. My son has a genetic disorder that I'd rather not list online because people that know of it will automatically know who we are because of its rarity and it makes life a bit tough but interesting. My daughter, so far, is showing no signs or symptoms of the disorder. The disorder causes cognitive problems, hyper/hypo tonia, delayed learning abilities and unable to sit up or walk...etc. Their mommy is the carrier of this disorder and she is finally succumbing to the disorder in that he legs are giving way and she'll probably be applying for disability that will take over a year to get.
I decided to add myself to aidpage in hopes that someone will be willing to help. I've been unemployed for the last 2 years watching over my kids while their mommy works, she was recently unfairly fired and it really put us in a spot. We have bills that are not being paid like our car bill, electric, cable, rent and so forth.
I'm not asking for a lot but if anyone could help out I would really appreciate it. I really want authentic help because there was a time a few years ago when we were in the same situation and some kind stranger offered to help only to be someone just fishing for my information to release to other websites >.
